Recently Completed Residential Projects

6 Alexandra Crescent, Surrey Hills

This exciting project, located leafy Surrey Hills, involved the renovation of an existing 1930s style brick house. The property was ideally positioned on the corner of Sydenham Lane and the backyard was subdivided to allow construction of a contemporary new dwelling (construction started in April 2012)
 
The renovation works were fairly substantial, including the construction of an oversized garage under the house, a new kitchen and laundry, renovated bathroom, installation of new hot water system and gas log fire place, a 2500 litre water tank, bi-folding doors and a complete re-landscaping of the property. A new crossover and driveway were also installed, along with a metal sliding gate. As with all renovations, there was a substantial amount of painting, plastering and odds and ends. 
 
The house was sold in March 2012 at auction and attracted significant interest, with mutitple bidders at the auction depsite heavy rain on the day.
 
Builder: Both Ascot Building Group and  F J & N Richards were contracted to various stages of the renovation whilst other components were completed as owner builder.

85 High Street, Glen Iris

This property (on the corner of Kardinia Road) was developed into 3 brand new townhomes, each with their own street frontage to leafy Kardinia Road and thus eliminating the need for a body corporate and adding value to the purchasers by converting the street addresses from High Street to Kardinia Road.

 

The townhomes were sold off the plan (prior to construction commencing) and were completed in February 2012. Each townhome is double storey and contains 4 bedrooms (or 3 bedrooms plus 2nd living space) plus study area, lock up garages and spacious private courtyards. The landscaping was a real feature of the finished product. The design was a modern take on Art Deco which was done to blend the development in with the character of the area.

This striking project of 9 townhouses was completed in September 2012. A very challenging architectural design gave the builders a complex task with which they were able to successfully achieve to the point that the project was nominated for numerous building and architecture awards in 2013.

We are pleased to have partnered with JAK Investment Group P/L to provide a range of development management services to Capital Alliance Investment Group P/L for a 44 unit development opposite Wattle Park. Construction completed successfully early 2014.
